Caitlin Clark Update Emerges After Missing Two Indiana Fever Games originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever arrive in Minneapolis on Tuesday, riding the momentum of their first-ever Commissioner’s Cup Championship berth.
After clinching the Eastern Conference’s top spot with a 4-1 Cup record, the Fever head into Target Center to face the defending champions, the Minnesota Lynx (14-2 overall record), hungry for their first in-season trophy.
Yet, star guard Caitlin Clark remains under a cloud of uncertainty.
In nine games this season, Clark has averaged 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. However, she was conspicuously absent from Indiana’s last two contests after aggravating a left groin strain.
On Monday, Clark was officially listed as “questionable” for Tuesday’s tip-off in Minneapolis, per Fever beat reporter Scott Agness.

Since going No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, Clark has quickly become the face of the league.
She shattered Ticha Penicheiro’s 1998 rookie assist mark and set a new benchmark for 3-pointers made in a single rookie season, finishing the year averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds across 40 games.
This earned her WNBA Rookie of the Year and a historic All-WNBA First Team nod, making her the fifth rookie in league history and the first since Candace Parker to collect both honors.
In December 2024, Time magazine crowned her Athlete of the Year, a rare accolade for a first-year professional.
Being the team’s primary playmaker, Clark continues to anchor Indiana’s offense when healthy.
As the Fever prepare to chase history in Minneapolis, the league will be watching closely to see if its brightest star will be available to guide her team to glory.
