The 2014 NFL draft is long ago, but Pro Football Focus took a look back and made a change for the New York Jets.
Back in that day, the Jets selected Louisville safety Calvin Pryor at No. 18 overall that year. PFF decided to redo the first round of the 2014 draft and Pryor did not remain New York’s pick.
Instead, wide receiver Jarvis Landry was the player that headed to the Jets.
Landry, 32, has not played in the NFL since 2022 with the New Orleans Saints but he was a positive player in his day. Landry was originally the No. 63 selection of the Miami Dolphins in 2014 in Round 2 and was considered a top slot receiver in his prime.
PFF changing the pick from Pryor comes as little surprise.
Pryor departed New York after the end of his rookie contract in 2017 and exited the NFL by the end of that season.
At the time, the writing was on the wall for Pryor as the Jets used their top-two picks at the 2017 NFL draft on safeties Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye. Because of internal issues and those selections, Pryor was traded to the Cleveland Browns after that draft.

Landry was less heralded than his LSU teammate Odell Beckham Jr., but he put together a strong career in his own right.
Across his first seven seasons, Landry recorded a 90.8 PFF receiving grade — tying him for 11th among qualified wide receivers. His 670 regular-season receptions during that span were the third most in the NFL, behind DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones. He was also excellent after the catch, forcing 107 missed tackles from 2014 to 2020 — the second most in the NFL.
