Luxury U.S. fashion brand Alexander Wang has appointed Robert Rizzolo to the role of global brand president.

A luxury veteran, Rizzolo joins the New York-based company from fellow New Yorker, Marc Jacobs, where he served as chief merchandising officer, leaving the role last month, after four years.
Prior to that, he was divisional vice president of global merchandising at Michael Kors, after a stint at Gucci as divisional merchandise manager. His other roles include buyer for Burberry, associate merchandiser at Calvin Klein, and assistant merchandiser at Gap.
“Excited to share that I’ve officially stepped into the role of Global President at Alexander Wang, today!” said Rizzolo, on his LinkedIn account.
“This brand has held a place in my heart for two decades—genre-defying, culturally sharp, relentlessly creative. To take on this role alongside Alex and lead this exceptionally talented team into a new chapter is an honor I welcome with gratitude and energy.
“I have always been inspired by the passion that fuels founder-led brands, and I’m thrilled to match Alex’s drive and dedication to the brand and the business. The next chapter starts now.”
Last year, Alexander Wang revealed a new a collaboration with rapper, Ice Spice, as the face of its Spring 2024 collection campaign.
