It’s lazy Sunday — well, it’s almost lazy Sunday. The Sunday NYT Mini Crossword drops on Saturday afternoon, so it’s actually still Saturday but we’re already solving tomorrow’s puzzle so I guess we can consider a this pre-lazy Sunday activity. Time is a flat circle, something something. Let’s solve this Mini!

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. The reason this took me 1:37 is I started off all wrong. I put DIVOT into 1-Across instead of CHASM and then DUDE into 1-Down instead of CHAP and once I realize this wouldn’t work I had to redo some stuff. I thought DIVAS could work for 7-Across (instead of AEIOU) but once I got to some of the others like Ben PLATT for 8-Across I realized my mistake.
