Tennessee added a commitment to its 2026 football recruiting class.
Three-star safety Jowell Combay committed to the Vols over South Carolina, Wisconsin, Missouri and Georgia on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect is from Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia. His teammate is Vols’ linebacker commit Brayden Rouse.
247Sports ranks Combay as the No. 46 safety in the class and the No. 53 player in Georgia.
Tennessee offered Combay a scholarship on Feb. 10. He unofficially visited Tennessee for a spring practice and 865 Live before his official visit on June 20.
Tennessee has 20 commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class. The other 19 commitments include quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, quarterback Legend Bey, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith and linebacker Brayden Rouse.
