The Commissioner’s Cup is officially underway, with the Indiana Fever securing an huge dub’. Major milestones continue to shape the WNBA, as All-Star Weekend takes form under the leadership of two newly appointed team captains: Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier. Meanwhile, the league is expanding with the addition of three new teams—Philadelphia, Detroit, and Cleveland, though the announcement hasn’t come without its share of controversy, of course.
But with all the excitement surrounding the W’, it’s hard not to focus on the game, especially with the emergence of the season’s first-ever trio nickname. “The rooks’” including Paige Bueckers and two standout newcomers JJ Quinerly and Aziaha James, are turning heads after each scoring in double digits in a strong win over Phoenix. It’s clear they’re beginning to find their footing, not just on the court, but in the tunnels too. And of course, some of the vets are still doing there thing as well.
Angel Reese — Chicago Sky
looks on looks👯_♀️@redlobster – #skytown
It’s a great week to be an Angel Reese fan, and an even better one to be a fan of her style. She’s been serving some of her best tunnel fits back-to-back, with barely any breathing room. For this look, there’s no single aesthetic at play, she’s mixing a little masc’, a little femme, some luxury some casual, and a hint of camo. And somehow, it all works together in a ’90s B.A.P.S.-inspired way.
Reese rocks a printed silk leopard scarf, gold Chanel Lt gold ribbon bow CC hoop earrings, a black-and-white Chanel Sport half-zip hoodie, and PROJECT G/R 3-quarter convertible cargo sShorts. She pairs it with a red Hermès Mini Kelly (she unboxed two more colorways in a recent TikTok haul), then finishes the look with a Chanel chain belt, cheetah-print Louis Vuitton open-toed heels and gold bracelets from Amazon. That’s what you call balance.
Bec Allen — Chicago Sky
looks on looks👯_♀️@redlobster – #skytown (1)
All white is all right. While Bec Allen doesn’t often make the final tunnel edit, this first-time look is a standout. It blends the laid-back vibe of Miami with the slouchy, deconstructed bag and thong heels and the effortless chic of the South of France.
Jewell Loyd — Las Vegas Aces
Entered the villa 🌴Presented by @ally
Jewell Loyd does what she does best, which is dress and hoop well while looking cool and casual. There are some standout pieces in this outfit, which by themselves, feel like statement pieces, but mesh so well together when placed in the eye of Loyd’s styling. She wears a cream Star Polo shirt from New York-based brand Le Père, Trinity Canvas Real Tree Utility Pants, and Nike Low Se Dunks.
Marina Mabrey — Connecticut Sun
🤎🤎🤎#BringTheHeat – #CTSun
Marina Mabrey may be sidelined with an injury, but that doesn’t mean she’s out of the game—or the tunnel. For Mabrey, this marked her first time wearing heels since her injury, which within itself is an achievement in itself. She showed up in full coach-and-GM mode, sporting a rich chocolate brown suit jacket and matching pants. Adding a personal twist, she layered in a brown lace corse, something you’d hope a real coach wouldn’t wear, but thankfully, Mabrey isn’t one.
Arike Ogunbowale – Dallas Wings
Throwing fits no matter the arena ✔️@hairitagebymindy – #WingsUp (1)
This fit, controversial in nature but undeniably Arike. Personally, it sparked a few debates, but Ogunbowale got the last (oversized UGG) laugh by landing on the Best Dressed list. There’s a lot going on here, and it doesn’t necessarily mesh harmoniously, but if there’s ever a time or place to experiment with the pieces collecting dust in your closet, it’s the tunnel.
The look kicks off with a classic Supreme hoodie, a longtime streetwear staple, even if it’s not the coveted box logo. Over it, she layers a KITH Women’s Emery Floral Rugby sweater, adds in crystal-encrusted sparkly jorts, and tops it off with a teal Goyard duffle. And, of course, Ogunbowale’s signature oversized mid-height UGG boots—basically her tunnel calling card—are the perfect chaotic cherry on top.
Maddy Siegrist — Dallas Wings
Throwing fits no matter the arena ✔️@hairitagebymindy – #WingsUp
There isn’t a week that goes by without a denim-on-denim moment in the tunnel, but this one just might be a favorite so far. Maddy Siegrist steps out in dark-washed denim joggers with oversized cuffs, paired seamlessly with a matching long-sleeve top featuring detailed inseams. She finishes the look with long calf socks and classic black leather loafers.
Alysha Clark — Seattle Storm
Sunday style 📸@alaskaair – Arrivals
Channeling a ’90s dad on the go, Alysha Clark gives her best Whitley Marion Gilbert post–workout class impression in the tunnel—and nails it. Easily one of her standout looks this season, Clark leans into vintage ‘60s meets ’90s inspired look with downturned triangle frames, a crisp Simonett white puffer track jacket, and high-waisted tailored trousers from Rohe Frame. She ties it all together with a cream Staud Moon Bag and, naturally, finishes it off with classic ‘90s dad running shoes.
Monique Billings — Golden State Valkyries
Locked in & lookin’ good ✨The Golden State Valkyries are ready to defend home court in a West Co
Monique, Monique — Are you happy to be in Paris? Technically, she’s defending the home-court in San Fransisco, but you wouldn’t be able to tell otherwise as this fit is trop francaise. an we bring berets back? Especially if you’re pairing them with a culturally thoughtful and appropriate fit like this one.
Billings wears a cream bouclé, collarless blazer from Aligne, satin expandable trousers from Athleta, and finishes the look with a pair of essential, toe-free rounded heels.
Napheesa Collier — Minnesota Lynx
First time All-Star captain in the building 🤩Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx get set to
‘MVPhee’ is not only campaigning for her MVP status on the court, but also in the tunnel with a fit quite like nothing she’s worn before — another recent win besides her SLAM cover. Napheesa Collier loves to show a mid-driff, and she it does it well in this silver long sleeve micro crop top, black denim jorts, and open-toed square heels.
Breanna Stewart — New York Liberty
The @nyliberty arrive in the 🅰️NYL-ATL – Tip-off 3pm-ET – ESPN3 + League PassWNBA Pride present
Breanna Stewart, whether she intended to or not, is channeling early-aughts Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl with the double-layered collar moment. Or maybe it’s a subtle nod to the recent Dior Homme by Jonathan Anderson show, where collars took center stage. Either way, it works.
She layers a pin-striped blue button-down under an oversized striped rugby jumper, pairing it with fiery red joggers and finishing the look with Puma Fenty x Avanti L “Club Navy” sneakers.
Sydney Colson — Indiana Fever
PNW vibes 🌲
It must be a dream to date your stylist knowing you’re well taken care, entering the tunnel in a fit and leaving on the best dressed list. Colson of the Indiana Fever lets sporty meet cozy in the best way, stepping out in an oversized glowing mustard-lime cropped hoodie and lounge pants by Melitta Baumeister. She finishes the look with classic Doc Martens and carries a sculptural black pointy-shoulder bag—also by Baumeister—that perfectly frames her copy of Tina Knowles x Matriarch. Funny and a bookworm.
