American 13th seed Amanda Anisimova will face five-time major champion Iga Swiatek in the final, as both players aim for their maiden Wimbledon title.

How Did Anisimova Reach The Wimbledon Final?
Coming into Wimbledon after finishing runner-up at the Queen’s Club Championships, Anisimova put up a stunning fight to book her place in the final. The American pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament when she knocked out World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals.
Anisimova’s performance at this year’s Wimbledon is even more commendable given that last year she lost in the qualifying after having returned from an eight-month mental health break.
How Did Swiatek Reach The Wimbledon Final?
With nine match wins, Swiatek is enjoying her career-best grass-court season. She reached the Bad Homburg Open final in the build-up to Wimbledon and has had a smooth-sailing performance at the grass-court major.
The 24-year-old has dropped a set only once – during the second round – at this year’s tournament. She has beaten three Top 35 players in a row without the loss of a set, culminating in a 6-2, 6-0 defeat of Tokyo Olympic champion Belinda Bencic in the semifinals.

What Are The Points At Stake?
Following her final run at the Bad Homburg Open before Wimbledon, Swiatek rose from No. 8 world ranking to No. 4. If she wins the title, she will move one place to No. 3.
For Anisimova, who is currently at her career-high ranking of No. 12, her run to the Wimbledon final has pushed her to No. 7 and if she wins The Championships, she will break into the Top 5 for the first time, sitting at No. 5.
What Records Are Up For Grabs?
Swiatek could become the first Polish player to win the Wimbledon title during the Open Era (since 1968).
The 24-year-old could become the youngest woman since 20-year-old Serena Williams in 2002 to win Grand Slam singles titles on all three surfaces. Swiatek has four Roland Garros titles on clay, plus one US Open title on hard court.
Anisimova could become the first American woman to win the Wimbledon singles title since Serena Williams in 2016. She is already the first American woman to make the final since Williams in 2019.
A title would also make 23-year-old Anisimova the youngest American woman to win the Wimbledon singles title since 21-year-old Serena Williams in 2003.
