Miley Cyrus Debuts One Of Her Most Famous Songs

It was only a few weeks ago that Miley Cyrus released her new album, Something Beautiful. The set arrived after months of promotion and quite a bit of anticipation, but sadly, the project underperformed. The full-length only spent two weeks on the Billboard 200, and none of the songs featured on its tracklist are present on any Billboard tally anymore.

While Americans may have moved on from Cyrus’s latest, one of her early career wins is back, so there’s obviously still a lot of love for her and her music.

“Party in the U.S.A.” Debuts on the Streaming Chart

Millions of people pressed play on “Party in the U.S.A.” in America in early July, and as a result, the tune finally debuts on one of Billboard’s most competitive tallies. The timely cut enters the Streaming Songs chart this week. That ranking details the 50 most-streamed tunes across platforms in the U.S., regardless of language or genre. Despite its popularity for well over a decade, “Party in the U.S.A.” has never managed to appear on the list, but now, it opens at No. 47.

Miley’s First Hit Since “II Most Wanted” with Beyoncé

Throughout her years in the spotlight, Cyrus has sent 18 tunes to the Streaming Songs chart. Shockingly, none of the tracks featured on Something Beautiful made it to the list. The last time Cyrus earned a new win came in April of last year, when she joined Beyoncé on “II Most Wanted.” That collaboration peaked at No. 4 and remains one of her biggest successes on the tally.

A Fourth of July Classic

“Party in the U.S.A.” becomes a hit every year around the Fourth of July, as it’s one of a select group of tunes associated with the holiday. As a result, it ends up on playlists and in the minds and ears of people all across the country. It’s surprising that it took so many years for the upbeat cut to become a Streaming Songs win, especially considering the fact that the tune peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 more than a decade ago and has already been certified 15-times platinum after moving 15 million units in the U.S.

Miley Cyrus Scores Multiple Global Wins

“Party in the U.S.A.” also manages to reappear on the Billboard Global 200 this week, and it almost matches its all-time peak. Cyrus’s cut reenters that global tally at No. 113. In the past, it has climbed as high as No. 111. The Grammy winner claims a pair of successes on the list, as “Flowers” grows two spaces to No. 155, while also sitting at No. 145 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.
