Mulberry has renewed its eyewear license agreement with the De Rigo group until 2031. The British luxury label and the Italian manufacturer have renewed the deal, first signed in 2018, covering the development, production and global distribution of Mulberry’s eyeglasses and sunglasses collections.

The collections translate Mulberry’s British heritage into eyewear products characterised by clean, elegant lines, inspired by a “quiet luxury” aesthetic that blends tradition with modernity. Some of Mulberry’s signature elements, like buckles, handbag zips, the tree logo and the signature postman’s lock clasp are replicated as design details in the collections.

Some of the models feature bio-based acetate frames and bio-nylon lenses, consistent with Mulberry’s sustainability strategy, which includes investing in supply chain traceability and developing sustainable materials.

Mulberry was founded in Somerset in 1971, and is best known for its high-end leather goods. Over time, the label has expanded its range to include ready-to-wear, fashion accessories and home decoration items.

“The partnership with De Rigo extends our lifestyle offer to eyewear, combining thoughtful design and sustainable innovation,” said Andrea Baldo, CEO of Mulberry.

“We are proud to continue our journey with Mulberry, a brand that strikes a perfect balance between craftsmanship, design and sustainability. The agreement’s renewal confirms ours is a strong partnership focused on significant international growth,” said Michele Aracri, CEO of De Rigo Vision.
