This year’s edition will feature six signature events, including the return of designer Eliza Faulkner to the runway, a new chapter from Maison Marie Saint Pierre, and a presentation from emerging label Mrkntn. The program also includes the Afrique Mode exhibition at the McCord Stewart Museum, the creations of Anne-Marie Chagnon, and an immersive runway experience from Lignes De Fuite, highlighting three up-and-coming designers.

Sustainability remains central to the programming, with activations such as a “Lunch and Learn” on responsible sourcing hosted by Core Fabrics and Collective Détour, the Montreal debut of Fashion Takes Action’s ReMode festival, and workshops on upcycling led by Charles Hulin. Community initiatives from groups including Concertation MTL, Atelier Promo 21, The Shoebox Project, and Le Chaînon thrift store will also be featured.

“We have adopted a sustainable, participatory formula tailored to the reality of our industry. Much more than a calendar of events, MFW is a unique showcase that allows everyone to contribute and shine in their own way,” said Mathieu St-Arnaud Lavoie, executive director of Mmode and Montreal Fashion Week.

“On this fifth anniversary, we embody the vitality of our industry more than ever and reaffirm our commitment to building a fashion ecosystem that is responsible, inclusive, and sustainable in Quebec.”

MFW was relaunched in 2021 under the direction of Mmode, the Metropolitan Fashion Cluster, which aims to unite and bring together stakeholders in Quebec’s fashion industry.

Organizers expect nearly 20,000 attendees across 95 activations in 14 Montreal neighbourhoods, supported by more than 100 organizations and brands, underscoring the event’s growing role as both a cultural and economic driver for Quebec’s fashion industry.
