N.Hoolywood and Baracuta are to unveil their first collaborative capsule collection on 4 October. Entitled ‘A Refined Take on British Heritage’, the Tokyo fashion house and British outerwear brand have combined to present an exclusive capsule collection that “reimagines two of Baracuta’s most iconic silhouettes through the minimalist, detail-oriented lens of N.Hoolywood Compile”.

Guided by designer Daisuke Obana’s philosophy of deconstruction and reassembly to create new values, the N.Hoolywood Compile line “continues its exploration of contemporary formalwear”.

This season’s collection draws direct inspiration from Obana’s recent visit to the UK, “where exposure to classic British tailoring and vintage garments sparked a fresh, modern interpretation of tradition”.

This vision aligns seamlessly with Baracuta’s legacy, whose Manchester- founded brand “remains dedicated to its ‘Made in the UK’ ethos…a spirit most notably embodied in the creation of the original Harrington Jacket”.

So the partnership “unites two distinct design languages in harmony: Baracuta’s classic craftsmanship meets N.Hoolywood’s refined, understated sensibility”.

At the heart of the collection is a reversible version of Baracuta’s G9 jacket, originally engineered for golfers and known for its windproof and waterproof qualities. This reinvented silhouette merges function with elevated design, they said. It’s priced at €410 (£357).

The capsule also introduces an original shirt design (€245/£213), built from Baracuta’s signature check fabric and featuring subtle detailing inspired by the G4 jacket.
