The sale of a Munich property housing the flagship store of men’s fashion retailer Hirmer is being challenged in court.

A spokeswoman for a regional court confirmed to Bloomberg News that opponents have filed an application for a preliminary injunction in connection with the sale of the property at Kaufingerstrasse 28. She declined to identify who had filed the application.
The building owner, a company called MW Hirmer GmbH & Co. KG, last month agreed to sell it for €124 million ($144 million), according to a report in the local newspaper Abendzeitung, which identified the buyer as a company linked to lawyer and real estate developer Erich Schwaiger.
A spokesperson for MW Hirmer confirmed the company has been notified of the application for an injunction but declined to give any details. Schwaiger didn’t reply to requests for comment.
