Calvin Klein upsizes at Livingston Designer Outlet

Calvin Klein has become the latest big-name brand to announce a major expansion of one of its key UK store destinations.

Its Livingston Designer Outlet store in Scotland will grow to almost 6,500 sq ft, which more than doubles the existing floorspace from when the brand first opened at the centre in 2002.

It said the investment “underscores a mutual commitment to the long-standing relationship and success, also signalling strong brand confidence and stability”.

Strategically-positioned in the prime main entrance location, adjacent to Tommy Hilfiger, it “will allow for broader visual merchandising opportunities” with Calvin Klein anticipating “even higher footfall numbers and increased dwell time from its loyal shoppers”.

Nicky Lovell, head of retail at asset manager Global Mutual, said: “This investment marks a pivotal milestone in our vision for Livingston Designer Outlet — placing Calvin Klein front and centre alongside Tommy Hilfiger not only elevates our brand mix, but signals our commitment to creating a premium, future-ready retail destination that delivers for both brands and customers alike.”

Since becoming the centre’s operator since 2023, Global Mutual said it has spent those two years “consolidating its retail strategy to strengthen the centre’s brand positioning across Scotland and beyond”.

It has also recently secured new, upsized leases with global brands including The North Face and Lacoste.
