Zalando to appoint a new CFO in the new year

Zalando is set to appoint a new CFO in the new year. The company said Anna Dimitrova will assume the role on January 1, 2026. On the Management Board, she will oversee Finance and Corporate Governance.

According to Zalando, David Schröder, who has served as interim CFO since March, will return to his duties as Co-CEO.

Dimitrova is currently CFO at Deutsche Glasfaser. Previously, she held a number of leadership roles at Vodafone, including CFO for Vodafone in Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as group financial controller.

Zalando aims to build the leading e-commerce ecosystem for the European fashion and lifestyle market, centred on two growth pillars: business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B).

As CFO, Dimitrova will play a pivotal role in further strengthening the company’s solid financial foundation, accelerating scalable growth, and driving significant, long-term value creation.

“Anna brings broad financial expertise and a strategic mindset. She has demonstrated impressive leadership in managing large, cross-functional teams and successfully led transformations,” said Kelly Bennett, Chair of Zalando’s Supervisory Board.
