In the rarified world of the luxury sector, the launch of a special capsule collection from a particular label via a particular retailer is more than just yet another launch. And so it is with Rabanne’s collection that has just debuted on Net-a-Porter.

The exclusive party capsule, which aims to capture “the essence of Miami in the 1970s” came with Le Club Rabanne in London on bonfire night as the e-tailer’s CEO Heather Kaminetsky and creative director of Rabanne Julien Dossena welcomed guests for a cocktail party to celebrate the launch.

Net-A-Porter is now owned by LuxExperience and we know how much importance that company places on experiences for its VIP high-spenders.

So Le Club Rabanne was held at The Scotch of St James where 120 attendees “came together to dance the night away and further channel the vibrant energy of Miami’s golden age of nightlife that was reflected in the collection”.

Those guests included “celebrities, tastemakers, top clients, media and stylists” at a party DJ’d by Louise Chen and Miso Extra.

Notable attendees included Iris Law, Jean Campbell, Pom Klementieff, Caroline Polachek, Amalie Gassmann, Poppy Delevingne, Niamh McCorrmack, Lily Newmark and Kai-Isaiah Jamal, all dressed in Rabanne.

So what about the capsule itself? Priced in the thousands, it includes pink chainmail mini skirts and halter-neck tops, citrus green and gold mini dresses, zebra-print sets and silver chainmail beanies that “embody [Miami’s] untamed spirit”.

Brigitte Chartrand, chief buying and merchandising officer at Net-A-Porter, said the collection “truly celebrates the essence of Rabanne’s style – bold and glamorous – while seamlessly blending our customers’ desire for statement pieces that exude confidence and sophistication”.
