Recover advances its new textile platform in partnership with Textil Santanderina and Portuguese TMG

Spanish materials recycling specialist Recover is committed to Iberian manufacturing. The business has forged strategic partnerships with Spain’s Textil Santanderina and Portugal’s TMG as part of the launch of Recover Fabrics, its new platform for premium, low-impact fabrics made from recycled cotton.

Specifically, Recover has teamed up with Spain’s Textil Santanderina to develop the “Premier Collection”, a range of sophisticated fabrics designed for chinos, jackets, and overshirts that blends structure with versatility. In parallel, Portugal’s TMG has worked with the company to create the “Elite Collection”, focused on tailoring and outerwear fabrics noted for their durability, comfort, and technical finish.

Both partnerships form part of the launch of Recover Fabrics, a new platform designed to accelerate the industry’s adoption of recycled cotton. The initiative offers more than 50 fabrics across four collections, from everyday essentials to high-end options, guaranteeing quality, traceability, and scalability. “Recover Fabrics is not just a product launch; it’s about helping brands make sustainability the easy choice, without compromising on quality,” said Anders Sjöblom, the company’s chief executive.

In addition to the collaborations with TMG and Textil Santanderina, the company has unveiled two further lines within the new project: the “Core Collection”, featuring essentials such as T-shirts and sweatshirts, and the “Essential Denim Collection”, which brings recycled cotton into the world of denim. Recover has also launched Recover Blanks, a collection of customisable, unbranded basics aimed at encouraging brands to use circular materials.

Founded in 2020 and based in the Alicante municipality of Banyeres de Mariola, Recover is a spin-off from the historic Hilaturas Ferre, established by the Ferre family in 1914. Specialising in the mechanical recycling of cotton and textile blends, the company is backed by the investment funds Story3 Capital and Goldman Sachs.
