Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was quick to show her support for Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered an injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.
Haliburton sustained an Achilles injury in the first quarter of the do-or-die showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The All-Star guard was seen falling to the floor and wincing in pain after something snapped in his right leg while trying to make a play.
The Pacers confirmed on Monday that Haliburton had a torn right Achilles, which required surgery.
Following his surgery on the same day, the 25-year-old playmaker took to social media to address his injury for the first time. While Haliburton expressed his frustration and admitted that he’s in shock over what happened to him, he promised fans that he will do everything to “get right back to being the best version” of himself.
Haliburton also apologized to the Indiana faithful for failing to lead them to the promised land, adding that they don’t deserve to receive such unfortunate news.
For her part, Caitlin Clark sent a message to Tyrese Haliburton after seeing his post on Instagram. While the Fever guard didn’t write any words, she made sure to show her fellow Indiana sports star that she has his back.
Clark commented a series of black heart emojis as a show of support.

For what it’s worth, Clark was not the only WNBA player to react to Haliburton’s post. Fever teammate Lexie Hull shared a series of praying hands emojis, while Aliyah Boston wrote, “Prayers for a smooth recovery!”
Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink added, “Delayed never denied!!”
Haliburton is expected to miss several months and possibly the whole 2025-26 season as he recovers from the injury. Sure enough, though, he’ll have plenty of support as he works his way back.
