Food And Drink Specials That Give Back

LGBTQ Pride Month is in full swing in New York City. With the 2025 New York City Pride March, Rise Up: Pride In Protest, running down Fifth Avenue on Sunday, June 29, the city is full of celebrations and specials. These local eateries and breweries are celebrating pride with festive food and beverage specials that also give back to the LGBTQ+ community via monetary donations.

This 16-year-old Spanish restaurant with three Manhattan locations—Chelsea, Nolita and Midtown East—will celebrate Pride with a rainbow paella. Inspired by the colors of the Pride flag, this limited-edition dish features a mix of tomato sofrito, calamari, tuna, prawns, purple cauliflower, broccoli, corn, piquillo peppers and asparagus. Available from Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29, each serving is $40. A portion of proceeds from every Pride Paella sold will go to Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, which provides sensitive, quality health care and related services targeted to New York’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, regardless of ability to pay.

This modern American steakhouse from Michael Mina is celebrating Pride Month with a limited-time rainbow shaved ice called “Clouds and Rainbows.” The treat features house-made rainbow shaved ice with bright, tropical flavors including guava, calamansi, mango, kiwi and hibiscus, all topped with a coconut cloud, a coconut milk foam infused with lime and sugar. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to amplifying Matthew’s story to inspire dignity, equality and compassion for all people—and which also helped pioneer the country’s first federal hate crimes legislation.

For all of June, this contemporary Mexican restaurant is offering a limited-time cocktail, The Rosa Sol. The bright, refreshing twist on a margarita is made with Casa Del Sol Blanco, muddled strawberries, mint, lemon, agave and a splash of soda. Rosa Mexicano will be donating a portion of sales from the special cocktail to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization making life-saving impacts for young LGBTQ+ people everywhere.

Each year for Pride Month, Brooklyn-based brewery Threes Brewing releases Gender Neutral, a crisp pale lager brewed with lemon zest that they describe as a “lagerade”— refreshing and perfect for summer, like a citrusy shandy. First brewed in 2017 as a show of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, Gender Neutral has become an annual tradition. The beer is packaged in bold, playful cans featuring a Pride rainbow flag, and Threes donates a portion of proceeds to a local organization doing meaningful work for the LGBTQIA+ community. This year, they’re partnering with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in SoHo, the world’s only dedicated LGBTQIA+ art museum, committed to preserving and uplifting queer voices in art.
