Ateez Reaches A New Career Peak As It’s Latest EP Misses The Main Albums Chart

Ateez has been charting hit albums in the United Kingdom for a little more than a decade by this point. This week, the South Korean boy band returns with its brand new EP, Golden Hour: Part 3, and while the short project becomes a top 10 win on one tally, it misses several other rankings the group is used to reaching. Regardless, this frame is a celebratory one for the K-pop favorites.

Golden Hour: Part 3 Launches Inside the Top 10

Golden Hour: Part 3 launches on this week’s Official Album Downloads chart, ranking as one of the bestselling titles in the U.K. on platforms like iTunes and Amazon. The EP opens at Nos. 5 on the list this frame.

Ateez’s New Career High

Ateez reaches a new career peak on the Official Album Downloads chart as Golden Hour: Part 3 arrives. The boy band has now reached the tally with eight projects, three of which have cracked the top 10. Until now, Golden Hour: Part 1 stood as the act’s loftiest placement, as it debuted and peaked at No. 8 last summer.

The World EP.2: Outlaw gave the group its first placement inside the highest tier in June 2023, when that set spent a single turn at No. 9.

Ateez’s New EP Misses the Albums Chart

Somewhat surprisingly, while Golden Hour: Part 3 brings Ateez to a new high point on the Official Album Downloads chart, it fails to reach the Official Albums ranking, the main list of the most consumed projects in the U.K.

The K-pop stars have already cracked the top 10 on the most important album tally four times. Every project that the group has landed anywhere on the list has spent at least one stay in that region. In 2024, both Golden Hour: Part 1 and Golden Hour: Part 2 peaked at No. 4. Somehow, the third installment in that series misses the tally, as well as several charts focused specifically on pure purchases.

“Lemon Drop” is a Quick Win for the Band

The lead single from Golden Hour: Part 3, a tune titled “Lemon Drop,” does manage to become a quick bestseller in the U.K. The song was released at the same time as the EP, and this frame, it opens at No. 58 on the Official Singles Downloads list and No. 66 on the Official Singles Sales chart, giving Ateez its sixth win on both rosters.
