A new era has begun for County of Milan, the streetwear label founded by Marcelo Burlon in 2012. The label’s global license has passed from the Farfetch group to Daddato Next, a company led by Dario Daddato, Matteo Battaglia, and Giacomo Ragazzi, while Burlon retains ownership of the brand.

Starting with next September’s collection, County of Milan’s production and global distribution will be managed by the new licensee which, together with Burlon, has drawn up a relaunch plan based on a “solid, structured, and ambitious industrial project, designed to strengthen the label’s international presence while preserving the strong, inclusive, and radical identity that has made it a global success.”

Burlon started out as DJ, club promoter and nightlife aficionado, and later launched County of Milan, which began as a brand of T-shirts and soon became an established name on the Italian streetwear scene. The label made it centre-stage in 2014, when Burlon debuted at Pitti Uomo as guest designer, and the following year staged its first runway show in Milan.

In 2015, County of Milan reached another significant milestone, becoming part of New Guards Group (NGG), as Burlon teamed up with Davide De Giglio and Claudio Antonioli, while staying on as the label’s creative director. A few years later, NGG was bought by Farfetch.
