Following Selfridges, JAK has been adding local partners to its UK retail network over the last few months and has launched on Browns‘ e-commerce store, at Harvey Nichols (Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds) and at multi-brand retailers such as Tower London (London), Lewis Yates (Billericay), Utter Nutter (Romford) and Nigel Holmes (Lytham St Annes). Now, the Portuguese brand is also available at John Lewis in London.

Commenting on this expansion in a post on its LinkedIn page, the Portuguese brand noted that being stocked in eight stores in the UK represents “another exciting step” in JAK’s journey from Lisbon to the world. “Seeing JAK reach new shelves, new cities and new people is a reminder of how far passion and purpose can go,” the post read.

Founded in Lisbon in 2014, in addition to the UK, JAK plans to expand its physical presence into markets such as the US, Europe and Asia. In Portugal, the brand currently operates three of its own stores- one in Porto and two in Lisbon.

Although sneakers are its core business, the brand has been gradually broadening its product range: in 2024 it made its debut in clothing with the launch of a sweatshirt and this summer it introduced the T-shirt 01, with options for men and women.
