Indiana Fever Turn Heads With Caitlin Clark Post on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Caitlin Clark returned from her five-game absence and led the Indiana Fever to a big win over the New York Liberty on Saturday. Naturally, the Indiana faithful were hyped up by her performance.

The 23-year-old tallied a near triple-double of 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists to help the Fever take a 102-88 victory. Her seven triples also allowed Indiana to post a franchise record of 17 triples made in the game.

Furthermore, Clark made history as the fourth-fastest WNBA player to reach 850 points. She also now has three 30-5-5 games, surpassing Candace Parker for the most such stat lines in a player’s first two seasons.

A day after Clark’s historic display, the Fever asked their followers on social media to use one word to describe the All-Star guard’s performance. Sure enough, fans were quick to chime in and share their takes.

Several users called it “Iconic,” while one supporter wrote, “Spectacular.”

“WILD!” a fan added.

A commenter remarked, “goat-mode.”

“Exciting,” a social media user shared.

“Generational,” a poster stated.

Caitlin Clark’s return was certainly one for the books. After all, the Fever were heavy underdogs in the game — with ESPN even giving them just a 35.4% chance to win against a then-undefeated Liberty squad.

Indiana went 2-3 in the games that Clark missed, and in her return, they looked like a completely different team.

It remains to be seen if the Fever will be able to string together more wins with Clark back in the fold, but sure enough, plenty of fans will be tuned in to see what the superstar does next.
