The Bear Season 4 Cast

White plays Carmy, who has taken on the ambitious goal of turning his brother’s neighborhood sandwich joint into a Michelin-rated, upscale establishment. He assembles a staff that includes some family and some found family, whose dynamics help drive the show.

The cast is one of the best on TV, with Ayo Edebiri a particular standout. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress plays Carmy’s sous chef, Sydney Adamu, and she has also written for and directed the series.

Last year, Liza Colón-Zayas earned a Best Supporting Actress Emmy for her role as cook Tina Marrero, becoming the first Latina actress to earn the award. Ebon Moss-Bachrach also received an Emmy, winning Best Supporting Actor for playing Carmy’s cousin who works at the restaurant.

Other primary cast members include Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson and Oliver Platt. Jamie Lee Curtis earned Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for playing Carmy’s mother, first seen in flashbacks.

The Bear Season 4 Story And Plotlines

Season three ended on a cliffhanger—what appeared to be the Chicago Tribune’s review of the newly opened restaurant, which Carmy seemed to react poorly to. A bad review could endanger the funding provided by Cicero (Platt). Sydney is also deciding between becoming Carmy’s partner in the restaurant or leaving for a new opportunity at a proven kitchen.

In the season four trailer, Carmy seems to realize that he needs to adjust his attitude if he wants to keep his staff members happy.
