JD Sports has opened its first Canadian flagship store on Vancouver’s Robson Street.

The Vancouver location introduces JD’s signature immersive retail format with an emphasis on exclusive product access, elevated in-store design, and brand storytelling.
The flagship features a double-height shopfront, the largest LED display in JD’s Canadian footprint, and innovative elements such as a digital portal entrance, a built-in sushi stand, a DJ booth, a click-and-collect station, and an advanced dumbwaiter system for streamlined stock delivery.
In addition to experiential design, JD’s new location emphasizes access to global exclusives and limited-edition drops. Dedicated shop-in-shops for brands like Nike, New Balance, and Adidas offer customers a curated and premium selection of the latest in sports fashion, while digital lightboxes throughout the space spotlight new releases.
“This launch of this landmark store signals the next phase of our expansion with 17 additional openings planned across Canada in the next 18 months, as we double down on our ambition to be the go-to destination for sports fashion in North America,” said Gary Ochi, chief executive officer for JD Canada.
“Vancouver’s vibrant culture and Robson Street’s reputation as a premier shopping destination make it the perfect home for our first Canadian flagship. We have designed this space to inspire our customers, offering them access to exclusive products, cutting-edge store design, and the best in sports fashion.”
The opening of the Robson Street flagship represents JD’s 34th location in the country and its first exterior street-front store. It joins global flagships including Oxford Street in London, Champs-Élysées in Paris, and Times Square in New York.
