Jayden Daniels not ranked No. 1 in analyst’s top 25 under 25 list

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels expects to rank highly when the NFL Network releases its complete list of the top 100 players in the NFL. Daniels had a phenomenal rookie season, leading Washington to the NFC championship game and its best season in 33 years. The 24-year-old quarterback is already considered one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks.

Is he already the top young player — 25 and under — in the NFL?

Stave Palazzolo, from the “Check the Mic” podcast, recently ranked the 25 best players under the age of 25. He has Daniels ranked No. 3. Ahead of Daniels are Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton and Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell.

Do you agree?

Hamilton enters his fourth NFL season in 2025 and is coming off two consecutive Pro Bowl appearances. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro last season. Hamilton has quickly emerged as an irreplaceable cog on one of the league’s best teams.

Sewell is entering his fifth season and is a three-time Pro Bowler and has earned back-to-back first-team All-Pro honors.

Daniels is entering only his second season in 2025. This isn’t a situation where you weigh the positional impact. Sure, quarterback is the more important position, but Hamilton and Sewell have proven they are elite at their positions for more than one season. If Daniels follows up his rookie campaign with a similar one in 2025, he’ll be at the top of most lists. Of course, he won’t qualify for the best 25 under 25 next season, but another big season could see him land in the top 10 of the NFL’s 100 best players list.
