Louisville baseball is headed back to Omaha.
The Cardinals defeated Miami 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in a win-or-go-home Super Regional final. Louisville won Game 1 of the series 8-1 before dropping Game 2 9-6 to the Hurricanes.
Louisville was facing a 2-0 deficit until the bottom of the fourth inning, with it tied the game at 2-2 following an RBI double from Zion Rose and an RBI groundout by Bayram Hot. Louisville then added the eventual game-winning run on a double by Eddie King Jr. in the seventh inning.
The Cardinals pitching staff also did their job on Sunday, as starter Ethan Eberle allowed two runs on six hits across five innings, before Jake Schweitzer, Justin West and Brennyn Cutts combined to allow no runs in four innings of relief.

When did Louisville baseball last make CWS?
Louisville baseball last made the College World Series in 2019, when the Cardinals finished tied for third in Omaha after winning the Louisville Regional and Louisville Super Regional.
Louisville fought out of the loser’s bracket in 2019 after falling to eventual national champion Vanderbilt in the first round. The Cardinals defeated Auburn and Mississippi State before falling to Vanderbilt again in the semifinals to end their season.
